Who provides therapy at this practice?

Therapy is provided by Tasia Ivey-Turner, a licensed professional counselor (LPC) with experience in individual, couples, and family therapy, as well as clinical supervision. All services are trauma-informed and inclusive. Tasia also supervises student therapists from Northern Arizona University, Sophia Metzler and Naomi Meadowcroft.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes. Insurances that are accepted are Aetna, Cigna, Optum, United Healthcare, Quest Behavioral Health, United Healthcare Medicare Advantage, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Horizon BCBS, Oxford, Oscar, and Carelon Behavioral Health. Student therapists can only take Aetna and BCBS at this time. We also accept self-pay, offering superbills, and a sliding scale depending on everyone’s current situation.

How do I schedule an appointment?

You can schedule an appointment by calling the phone number, (520) 329-1807, sending an email to tasiaiveytherapy@gmail.com. You will first have to complete intake paperwork before an official first session is scheduled.

What should I expect in my first session?

Your first session is an opportunity to share your goals, discuss history, symptomology and learn more about the therapeutic process. We’ll work together to tailor a plan to your needs.

Is therapy confidential?

Yes. All sessions are confidential within the limits of the law. Your privacy and safety are always a priority. This practice also does not utilize AI recording to write notes.

Who can benefit from therapy?

Anyone who is willing to learn new skills and tools to manage stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, or other life challenges can benefit from individual therapy. Sessions will always be tailored to your set of unique needs and goals.

What approaches do you use in therapy?

This practice utilizes modalities such as trauma-informed, CBT, ACT, DBT, IFS, EMDR, play therapy, sex positive, client-centered, and motivational interviewing.

Who is eligible for clinical supervision?

Supervision is offered to pre-licensed and/or licensed clinicians seeking guidance, mentorship, and support in developing their clinical skills.

How does supervision work?

Sessions include case consultation, discussion of ethical and professional issues, skill development, and reflection on your therapeutic approach. Supervision can be conducted in person or via secure telehealth. Supervision with Tasia Ivey-Turner meets requirements for licensure in Arizona. Supervision sessions will range from meeting either weekly to biweekly, but can be adjusted to meet licensure or personal needs.
